With SecMess, you can safely chat with your friends and family.
On Privacy & SecuritySecMess uses encryption with symmetric cryptography – each contact has their own key.
Encryption algorithm has a key of 512 bytes and 512 bytes of textblock length.
Ciphering has 30 rounds.
Also each message has between 104 and 616 randomly added bytes so even the same text sent with the same key creates different ciphertext which increases security.SecMess does not store any data – all contacts and generated keys are stored locally on user devices.
Your operator can only store ciphertexts, which are sent and received on your devices (remember that date, source and destination device is also known for operator).App does not require Internet connection, communication works with SMS service so if you don’t want to use it or are out of the Internet connection, it’s not a problem.SecMess allows you to exchange a key with encrypted SMS message or with anexport/import mechanism.
